    Kyocera/Copystar CS-4003i boot logo

The service manual I have from April 2022 Rev.D0 explains that U066 (page 6-25) is the code to enable/disable the "display logo".

The machine has installed Firmware version 2VK_S000.002.551 2022.08.25 .

When I enter U066 the description is "Adjust Table Leading Edge Timing".

So either the option was removed, and/or there is a later version of the service manual available?

I scrolled through the codes and didn't see anything related to the "display logo" toggle.

    Thanks

You are likely looking for U224 "Setting original panel display". Opening image is what will give you the startup screen. Instructions must be followed exactly; if you don't have the right image size, file type, exact name (it is case sensitive) then you will never have the option to load the file at the machine from USB. If the image size is not correct it just won't look good.

Copy the files to an USB-stick and load the files to the machine using U224. The files are :

      callwin_ext_image.png 180x200pix max 1Mb
      callwin_ext_mes_detail.txt
      callwin_ext_mes_top.txt
      opening_ext_image.png 800x400pix max 1Mb

Use an application like Irfanview to format your image to 800x400 pixels, .png file format, and named exactly as specified. Use simulation U224 to import the image.

I wonder, does the image file need to be present before the enable/disable the "display logo" option will show? I mean if nothing is there how can you Enable/Disable displaying it?

By default the device will have the Kyocera logo this can't be deleted you can only replace it.

when i did this years ago. once you change that kyocera logo to something new. you can not revert back. so make certain you have the logo you want to use. and as stated above, make sure you follow the steps exactly as described.

I believe you can, provided that you have a source for the .png file.
