MP 9003 fuser roller part #?

Ricoh MP 9003 just hit 450k and the fuser rollers will need to be replaced. We have looked at the part #'s in the service manual and also looked at the part #'s on Precision Roller and they are different. Are these updated part#'s? Are these the same rollers?

Pressure Roller for D225 only- AE020178 (Parts/service manual)
AE020182 (Precision Roller)
Hot Roller for D225 only- AE011114 (Parts/Service manual)
AE011044 (Precision Roller)
Hot Roller Bearing for D225 only- AE030017 (Parts/" ")
Pressure Roller Bearing for D225 -AE030018

so you have the ricoh parts manual? and you are asking if the part number is correct in the manual from ricoh?

Yes, I have version 1.0 parts manual. I just noticed when I was researching the P/N, Precision Roller had almost totally different #'s. I believe like slim said I think the P/N on precision may be updated P/N.

Mine also shows as version 1. Interesting couple of thing, on further checking, the AE011114 number is in the Product Support Guide. The AE011044 in m parts catalog is bold type which usually indicates a changed number but there's no change log. Also the Precision Roller numbers are the numbers as for the MP 9002.

Yeah, that what I am running into, if you look look at the PM Parts Mainframe page 25 it shows P/N for the D225 (9003) pressure roller AE020178 but if you go to Precision Roller's page and type in MP 9003SP it shows P/N AE020242 but that's not correct according to the PM Parts Mainframe page. And, if you look at the hot roller in the PM parts manual it's AE011114 but at Precision it's AE011044.
I just want to make sure we will order the correct rollers and bearings for the rollers because from what i have seen from the two different press rollers with different types bearings for each press roller.

You could also just get the PM kit, PMD225450K, to get everything at once.

The price generally comes out cheaper than buying individually.

If you haven't done one before probably budget on about ninety minutes if you're taking your time. If you've done any in the 60-90 ppm range it should seem pretty familiar.

about 1.5 hours, done well, bring 400 sandpaper and alcohol to thoroughly clean the metal roller under the pressure roller,is the one that takes the most time, and brought a ink-marker to mark the lamp connectors before dismantling them, , however I advise you against using "precision roller" as the primary source for the part codes spare parts, we have verified over time that there are a lot of errors, at most use it as a comparison or to see if a part has been replaced by someone on the given model.
Being Ricoh, when we order spare parts, whatever code we enter, the system automatically offers you the most recent code, and displays all the code recodings that have been made on the given spare part over time.

what i was trying to say is. i would more likely trust the part # from the RICOH manual. if said manual came from ricoh, not some download from another website. i use precision as well, but i have also found that when i order using the precision roller part # it's incorrect. when i go back to the manufactures parts manual i end up with the correct part number. doesn't happen a lot that precision is wrong, but it has happened in the past. just sharing what has happened to me in the past. take it as you will... good luck.

Precision Roller is usually good about cross referencing parts, and for independent techs they're the cheapest source for even special order parts especially with their business pricing.

Before I was able to get dealer pricing, I thought Precision Roller prices weren't bad. Here's the pricing difference on a random part that I just looked up.


Kyocera TASKalfa 3552ci Fuser (Fixing) Unit (Genuine) - Genuine Kyocera Part

Precision Roller Price: $529.00

Dealer Price: $339.55


Edit: I don't disagree that Precision prices are about the best you can do if you can't get dealer pricing.

We have noticed that strangely, despite precision rollers, both in the USA, the prices are similar to those in Italy, in the end customer price list, obviously we pay them much less as Ricoh resellers.
