    Way to update firm for C3002 without internet connection.

    Hi guys,

    I'm looking for a way to update a Ricoh Aficio MP C3002 that does not have internet access. I'm able to connect via USB but there is no wireless LAN card installed or available network to hardwire into.

    I've tried to use the Ricoh Firmware update tool but it seems the unit must be connected to the network in order for it to "find" it.

    Is there a way to update with a thumb drive or directly by USB connection to my laptop?

      There are 2 ways to update firmware. Using an SD card as described in the service manual or using a computer connected to the wired network port.

      Do you know what version you have on the C3002? You can most likely buy it from copier tech at We can supply most major manufacturers printer & photocopier firmware. Click Here To Download - Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark or Canon Firmware

          Thanks slim, yes we can supply the latest firmware for your MP C3002. You'll just need to copy the fw to an SD card (USB not supported on this model)

                      Does the location have WiFi? If it does you can get a WiFi range extender.

                          simple buy a wireless extender,cheap 40 bucks or run a long cable.

                              patch cable doesn't require the modem. all you are doing is hooking the patch cable from the pc directly into the copier. the file would already be on the PC, and transfer it.
