5071 fuser noise

I have a MX5071 that has been having noises coming from the fuser. Is there a solution to this? Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you upgraded the fuser drive gear to the new style? CCE-2282 bulletin.

We just had a 4071 fuser making noise. Replacing the pressure roller bearings took care of it. Unfortunately if it's the other bearings, they can't be replaced. (easily)

I have this all the time

It's the fusing belt unit bearings on the MX602FB

For some reason they just don't last and I have never understood why...

If it sounds like a brief buzz before it prints, its usually the plastic cam gear that applies fuser pressure. I've had luck in the past greasing it but ymmv.
