The key to figuring this out is to talk to the sender of the print jobs. "Please show me exactly what you were doing when you had the problem..." step by step, click by click through the driver. Now find the application, right click to Properties, then note the version number of the app. Next find your Printer, right click to Properties, Device Settings, About will show what version number your print driver is. The most current is 4.4.0403 but that doesn't necessarily mean that's the one you want. Every print driver has bugs or conflicts (some more problematic than others). The next previous version is 4.2.2021

It will be a lot easier to convince the IT guys to load a different driver (because they can place the blame elsewhere). Just don't give them too much information. Don't say "The newest driver is full of bugs...". Say something like "I have a different driver I'd like you to try that may solve your problems...", then stop talking.

I'll be interested in the details. I have gathered quite a collection of these sort of driver conflicts. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
