I love this kind of stuff and always think about what I could use the motors, etc when I'm throwing out a machine. Never have the time to try and experiment with any of these parts.
I just got back into building electronic kits found online. AM/FM radio, mini LED Xmas tree, calculator, etc.
I built several Heathkits years ago when they were in business, 3 TV's, stereos, etc. I loved Heathkit and their unbuilt kits are worth a lot of money now. Nothing like the feeling you get when you turn on something you built and it actually works.
