The latest conspiracy theory is that Trump will be forced to claim the 25th Amendment. Resign. Pence will become President. Pence will issue Trump a pardon. Pence will resign and then Trump will become President again.

1) the president doesn't CLAIM 25th...
2) Congress HAS to push removal DUE TO 25th
3) they have to prove IT!

I think the actual legal defence is the 5th Amendment aka "Double Jeopardy" .

Double jeopardy is a procedural defence that prevents an accused person from being tried again on the same (or similar) charges and on the same facts, following a valid acquittal or conviction.

The possible outcome is still the same.

One other interesting theory came out of the Michael Cohen testimony this week. Cohen stated that Donald Trump never really wanted to become President. He always expected to loose to either another Republican Presidential candidate or Hillary Clinton. Trump had been eyeing the time to Run for quite a while...

As far as Cohen.. he ALSO stated that he NEVER asked for a Trump Admin position.. Proven BS... they have the emails FROM Cohen requesting a position.

All in ALL Cohen is a PROVEN liar.. is going to prison for said offenses... so IMHO his word is as good as Whitey Bulger's word

That's funny because if you watch interviews of DJT talking about it.. once he got thru Republican nomination.. he KNEW he had it...

Not a minute after I asked the question, Trump bails on the long traditional White House Correspondents dinner. A well followed fund raiser for journalism scholarships.

He knows he cannot compete with Obama's last dinner,aka the famous Larry Wilmour, "yo my niggar" and Luther "the anger translator".

Not since 1981 has a President missed this dinner, including Reagan who was recovering from gun shot woulds at the time.
