I think the last four years under soon to be citizen Trump has demonstrated that between himself and Senator Mitch McConnell traditional Republican values have faded from view.
While the Democratic party endorses and demonstrates democratic values, sadly the Republican party now functions like an aristocracy.
Aristocracy is a form of government that places strength in the hands of a small, privileged ruling class, the aristocrats.
In modern times, aristocracy was usually seen as rule by a privileged group, the aristocratic class, and has since been contrasted with democracy.
The concept of aristocracy per Plato, has an ideal state ruled by the philosopher king. Plato describes these "philosopher kings" as "those who love the sight of truth" (Republic 475c) and supports the idea with the analogy of a captain and his ship or a doctor and his medicine. According to him, sailing and health are not things that everyone is qualified to practice by nature.

Didn't remember seeing that BillyC posted this already, but he did. Either way.....the Canadian government themselves GAVE Rebel News all the information that's in the story. So you rate it any way you want, but the fact remains that this information has not been "disputed" by anyone in the Canadian Government.

Senate approves defense bill with veto-proof majority in rebuke to Trump - CNNPolitics
The Senate voted overwhelmingly on Friday to approve a sweeping defense bill with a veto-proof majority, a major rebuke to President Donald Trump who has urged Republican opposition and threatened to veto the legislation. The vote was 84 to 13.
The $740 billion bill known as the National Defense Authorization Act includes pay raises for America's soldiers, modernizations for equipment and provisions to require more scrutiny before troops are withdrawn from Germany or Afghanistan, but that hasn't stopped Trump's threats against it.
Trump has threatened to veto the bill because it doesn't include a repeal of Section 230, a law that shields internet companies from being liable for what is posted on their websites by them or third parties. The bill also includes provisions to limit how much money Trump can move around for his border wall and another that would require the military to rename bases that were named after figures from the Confederacy.The President urged House Republicans to oppose the bill just hours ahead of the vote in that chamber earlier this week, saying, "I hope House Republicans will vote against the very weak National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which I will VETO."
