not true... the day it happened he condemned the driver... but IF the young girl hadn't been there as a member of AntiFa... then she would be alive still.
AntiFa has been causing shit from the left to the right coast. Hell some almost beat a trump supporter to death in NYC the other night.
Protest is part of the reason for our Republic. It is allowed/encouraged by our 1st amendment. Whether some want to make it a "violent" outcome is on them. I have seen many left leaning folks blame him for everything under the sun. While those same people never mention all the GOOD that has been done in the past 12 months.
Do you remember seeing conservatives out busting windows... setting fire to cars/buildings? Yeah? neither do I.Comment

The US Gov't shutdown and then prompt re-opening is being portrayed as a victory by President Trump, the White House and Fox News and a defeat for Democrat Senate Leader Schumer and the Democrats.
I see it more as a trial balloon. It is a strong warning to the country that the Democrats have the power to bring the country to a shutdown again if the Republicans do not come to the table and agree to a DACA solution.
While the right wing media speaks of the estimated 800,000 DACA residents (Dreamers) as illegal aliens, these people are really undocumented citizens who have lived in the USA for almost all of their lives, pay taxes and contribute to society.
Both the Republicans and Democrats will be back at the table on Feb 9th facing the same crisis. That crisis has been created by President Trump and the Republican party because they are five months late in presenting a comprehensive budget to run the country.
There is only so much money in the US budget to go around. The proposed increased funding for the way over sized US military and the Border wall at the expense of social programs is causing a great tear in American society.
President Trump's much heralded tax cuts while giving US citizens a short term pay increase and US Corporations a long term tax deduction is going to cause havoc a few years from now due to greatly reduced gov't revenues and a rapidly expanding debt burden.
If you have NetFlix, President Obama was recently interviewed by David Letterman in a series called "My Next Guest". Obama was exactly correct in his assessment that if a person does not diversify their media consumption across multiple new outlets and political platforms, they can spend their entire time in information silos that filter out facts and opinions that reinforce their own preconceived notions. Many media consumers are weak and lazy and continuously go back to their favorites because it is easy not to think for one self.
The Russian 2016 attack on media outlets prior to the US election recognized this weakness in Western democracies and have crafted an entire industry to exploit this to their advantage around the world.Comment

Schumer knew that if he did not capitulate, the Democrats and the independents who caucus with them stood to loose 26 Senate seats in the mid term elections this year. As it is, they still stand to lose about half of those seats.Comment

Not a mention of any white supremacists.
I guess conservatives don't break windows, they just run them over with their cars. Nice!!

Sounds like talk from an information silo.
No one knows what the future will bring in US politics but a rout of the Democrats in Nov 2018 seems far fetched.

Your perception of Americans and American Politics is truly amazing, dead wrong but still amazing! It is the Democrats [Socialists/Communists] that need to compromise. What the "reality" is that Trump will navigate to have a "BUDGET" instead of continuing resolutions and if it takes shutting down a bloated, self serving government - good, I am with him! Maybe eventually the Dem's will get the message that you cannot protect felons by trying to blackmail the budget process. "TRUMP crazy as a fox"!Comment

Demonizing democrats as Socialist/Communist reflects a deep information silo point of view.
The Democrats under Senator Schumer deliberately "caved" on their Gov't weekend "Shut Down" position to cause as little harm as possible to everyone involved while making a symbolic statement that on Feb 9 if the the Republicans do not move towards an acceptable solution more shutdowns are possible.
President Trump is now under pressure to clearly describe his position on DACA and produce a budget that can pass both Congress and the Senate.
As stated the Budget is at least four months late. You cannot professionally run neither a Corporation nor a Gov't that way. In my copier job, I would be fired if my budget was that late.Comment

A example if a true racist is a liberal who assumes that when you mention illegal aliens automatically assumes that you are talking about people from south of the border. Many of the illegal aliens that are of the biggest concern are those who have come from Europe, Asia, the middle east and Canada and over stayed or in some other way violated the terms of their visa. The 911 terrorists were part of that group.Comment
