Re: Do you believe that Climate Change is real and caused by mankind?
I've been though 2 cat 5 hurricanes, both were supposed to miss us, but they took a last minute quick turn. The last one lasted for 8-10 hours and I swear it sounded like the house was going to blow to pieces the entire time, I watched the windows bow from the pressure and listened to the house creak, while this is happening you are hoping that the tidal surge is not going to be bad enough to flood your house because the last place you want to be is outside in 125+ mph winds with nowhere to go. It's scary as hell and your are at mother natures fate. The worst feeling during the storm is there is nothing you can do but hope for the best when it's passed, and that is when the real work starts. The sound of sirens is very eerie following the event because that is all you hear for days. Stepping out of your house when the storm has passed for the first time is APOCALYPTIC to say the least.WhateverComment

Know the feeling. Was stuck in one on the south coast of South-Africa. Watching roofing tiles get flung around can be scary. The devastation left behind is something else. Took the insurance 2 months to get around fixing the rental property I was in. Had a star lit kitchen and living room.Last edited by copiertec; 08-21-2023, 02:30 PM.Comment

Democrats' climate change blame game for Hawaii fire confronted by reality after Maui identifies cause
Hawaiian officials attributed the cause of catastrophic wildfires to alleged failures from the state's main power utility company and downed power lines this week after Democrats blamed the disaster on global warming.
In a lawsuit filed Thursday, the government of Maui County, Hawaii, alleged Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) and its subsidiaries failed to properly power down live electrical equipment amid a red flag windstorm earlier this month. Due to this failure, downed power lines operated by the utility company sparked a series of deadly fires on the island, the lawsuit claimed.
"The lawsuit alleges that the Defendants acted negligently by failing to power down their electrical equipment despite a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning on August 7th," Maui County said in a release announcing its lawsuit.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
