How would you sell your knowledge?

If you had the chance to transfer all your knowledge as a technician with a pill, how would you sell it?

You're assuming that there's someone interested. You might be surprised to know that often very informative posts here are not treated seriously, or completely ignored. The mentee must be willing and paying attention. I have the good fortune of mentoring a few very promising young techs. These make up a small portion of the techs in the field. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

to share knowledge is one of the greatest gifts we have as humans.

wonder how much Dad or Mom Gramp or Gran would have charged me? (priceless to me)

did the maker charge US for the gift of a good brain .. hands.. and the willingness to work?
      NO

EVEN -= IF =- I could .. I would NEVER charge others to learn from me.

and my knowledge goes FAR beyond working on Computers/printers/copiers.

I wonder how many here have designed/created their own solar hot water heater..... outdoor timed sprinkler setup for the garden... a moveable chicken coop?

necessity is not the mother of invention (mother not Mothers Of Invention) but being a broke inventive country boy, you will adapt and survive!

This post topic has been raise before on CTN....

        --------------- Pay it forward ----------

A young carpenter learn his carpentry trade with enthusiasm and vigour.
Over the many years he became very resolute with his carpentry profession.
He become so resolute that he felt all worthy people should be paying for his knowledge and wisdom.
As the years went by the aging carpenter become grumpy and disillusioned with the worthless attitude
of the younger people of the world. He felt the younger people don't deserve his wisdom and knowledge
so he never taught his carpentry trade to any of the younger generation.

The worn-out grumpy old carpenter now sits cold, tired, lonely and homeless in a city park
every day, waiting for the government to build retirement homes, so he may live out his last days
        as a worthy person.

A young nurse walked into the park one day and sat down beside the grumpy old carpenter.
She asks the man, "why are you sitting here cold, tired and lonely in the city park?"
The old carpenter replied, "I'm an old carpenter, I never taught the younger generation my trade.
So now there is not enough young carpenters around who can build my retirement home."

"... Sadly" the old carpenter said, "...I am fully to blame for my own situation I now live in."

        --8<------------------

NB. The above is anecdotal wisdom, though I believe you get the gist/moral of the story.

never heard that anecdote before... BUT OH SO TRUE!

to refuse to share knowledge or to charge for it... IHMO does not only the future mentor/mentee a disservice, but society in the whole... for ALL of the knowledge lost will never be recovered.

As a red pill blue pill scenario, like The Matrix. Take the red pill and become a copier tech. Take the blue pill and lead a normal life. I would strongly recommend the blue pill to the potential candidate. Lol

How could you sell your copier knowledge when you can get it on this forum or internet for free!

Even if that was possible, nobody would pay for it. But just suppose it was possible, I would look for the nicest, intelligent, gentle being I could find and put that awareness in the pill and freely give it to all the assholes, dickheads, sociopaths and the insane people in the world. That would certainly take care of the war and violence in the world so our species could continue to evolve into something of universal value.
