.Clearly today, news suppression is happening in right wing media.

A lot of small town media markets in the USA depend on PBS/NPR for local news, public gatherings and emergency broadcasts.

You're just making stuff up at this point. There has never been a time where there was more freedom and competition in the news media space.

There was a time in Chicago when there were 12 competing newspapers. There were some that just made up stories to sell product. Is that an any more reliable way to base your opinions ?People believe what they want to believe. And it's mostly opinions anyway. The question remains, why should I believe one person's lies over another ?

Well either you are lying or you are using a search engine like Google that lies. Fox Business was one of the first to bring it up, back in February when it was first took effect.
President Donald Trump's tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico included provisions suspending the de minimis loophole for duty-free treatment of shipments under $800 from those countries.

Go to www.foxnews.com today. Try and find either story.

What proof do you have that Google lies?

"In Chicago, there were periods with as many as 12 newspapers operating simultaneously, particularly in the late 19th century, from roughly 1875 to 1890. The peak occurred during this period of rapid growth and competition. "

You can believe whatever you want. There is only one set of facts.

... not if you consume all of you media information from a very limited range of information sites.

You probably learn more from CTN about the world than from your other information sources.

Explain for me why you think PBS and NPR should get government funding while their competitors should not. Thanks in advance for explaining this for me.

Before I answer, do you watch PBS or listen to NPR for more than 30 minutes per week? Do you live in a large city or a small rural town?

I watch PBS nightly via YouTube because it is the best source of commercial free, unbiased US national news. Plus their programming broadcasts high quality educational content from around the world. I do not listen to NPR, in Canada we have the equivalent CBC.

As far as we can tell, you are the one consume all of you media information from a very limited range of information sites. But then since we do not personally know you there is no way that we can know for certain. The same applies to you. You have zero way of knowing what I watch, read and listen to.

I wonder if he would prefer that President Trump fire the entire staff at both and replace them with conservatives?

There likely are conservatives working at both places. They just don't wear it on their sleeves like they do at Fox, Breitbart, OAN, Bongino, Gellar, etc etc.

Unbiased national news????? LOL!!!! On PBS and NPR????? Are you high right now?????
I'm in the suburbs of a big city more or less. I've watched plenty of PBS and occasionally tune into NPR to hear what the left wing nutters are spinning.
Now tell us why you think NPR and PBS should be government funded while their competition isn't.

If you do not think that PBS is unbiased , there is no point in writing paragraphs to a person with a closed mind.

If you do not live in rural America, you will never undestand how important PBS and it's local facilities are to small communities.

What we do know for sure, Trump has said it personally, and is the only reason for the defunding, holds a gruge against PBS/NPR for speaking truth to power.

PBS/NPR will never go away becuase it is funded with donor money from the richest families & corporations in America and medium low income families. My wife, a Canadian, funds PBS for it's unique, high quality programming.

Trump is essentially a stinky fart in the wind who will be gone in less than four years. The Republicans are going to be crushed in the mid terms.

In the meantime, PBS/NPR will likely be forced to add commercials to their programming.

Lawsuits against the Trump Administration will be launched shortly.
