Tesla says their cars get the range they do for a reason. Unless you are driving cross country you dont need 600 miles of range. The more range you have the bigger and heavier the batteries need to be. Tesla says their range is based on how drivers drive their cars in the real world. Even after 600 miles and you are on a trip,now you might as well get a motel while you wait for a recharge so you can get on with your trip.
