Get your facts straight if you are going to hijack a thread. Vindman is as deep state as it gets! He is in with the whistle blower & Shiff or is the whistle blower! I think he should learn to follow the chain of command. His boss was warned about him. This "decorated" officer cares more about Ukraine then USA. He was even offered a political job for Ukraine.

As for Jordan, I know him and the rep's make the dems look so dumb as they UNravel this coup. How about this one "hearsay is better then facts", ha-ha that about sums up the dems case. NOTHING!

By the way this is a Rep thread why are you even posting here? GET LOST

Sorry, the title of this thread is " Let the truth be known". I didn't realize it was simply a Rep echo chamber.

I have looked at pictures of Vindman and his uniform. I only saw 3 rows of ribbons and most of them are service ribbons, ones you get just for being there and longevity awards, ones you get automatically after a set number of years. I didn't see any Valor ribbons or devices.

Guess you picked the wrong link

Vindman, reading his review written by Dr. Fiona Hill: “Alex is a top one-percent military officer and the best Army officer I have worked with in my 15 years of government service.”

“He’s brilliant, unflappable and exercises excellent judgment,” Vindman read, looking up at Rep. Jordan, as he read “excellent judgment.”

Another Fake News Republican smear it's again clear you never served in the military really sad you still can't google

The soldier who testified on Tuesday for the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump is a combat veteran and Purple Heart recipient who has served in the Army for more than 20 years, according to his Army service record, which was provided to Task & Purpose.

Lt. Col Alexander Vindman, a current National Security Council staffer who was subpoenaed to testify on Capitol Hill about what he heard on Trump's July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, joined the Army in January 1999 as an infantry officer, according to Army records.

When he was just three years old, while Ukraine was a part of the Soviet Union, Vindman and his family immigrated to the United States, according to Army Times.

During his time in uniform, Vindman has earned the Ranger Tab, which signifies the completion of one of the toughest schools in the Army, as well as the Parachutist Badge, earned after the completion of Army Airborne School, and the Expert Infantryman Badge, which denotes mastery of critical infantry tasks.

In September 2004, he deployed to Iraq and was wounded in combat just a month later by an improvised explosive device, per Army Times. He finished the deployment and returned to the United States in September 2005. Vindman also earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, which is awarded to infantry soldiers who have fought in active ground combat.

An Army spokesman said that he previously served on the Pentagon's Joint Staff from September 2015 to July 2018. Vindman is currently assigned to the National Security Council as a foreign area officer who specializes in Eurasian political-military operations, according to The New York Times.

"I sit here, as a lieutenant colonel in the United States Army, an immigrant," Vindman testified on Tuesday, according to The Times. "I have a deep appreciation for American values and ideals and the power of freedom. I am a patriot, and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend our country, irrespective of party or politics."

According to the Army, Vindman's awards include the Purple Heart, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (2nd award), Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4th award), Army Achievement Medal (3rd award), National Defense Service Medal , Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th award), Valorous Unit Award, National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, Presidential Service Badge, Joint Chiefs of Staff identification Badge, and Navy Unit Commendation.

According to his superiors, he was not much for what America stands for, hence his removal of positions, he was not very well liked because of what he believed in, he was very politically partisan, diffidently not a current administration supporter, to the contrary. Another career government worker, just because he has the hardware, doesn't mean he a is an american military/american supporter. Mind's/hearts change, many political partisans now in government, they just don't like change and how are things being done now, so the hate grows for the current administration vehemently, just unforeseen, the left hated Reagan, "W", now Trump, hate all day, night, don't know how they can sleep, eat, just thinking about TRUMP!!! Every day, all day, night, just feel sad for them. But, this country continues to prosper, God Bless America, and the lefties too!

Not sure if you caught this when Vindman was testifying he told how he received the purple heart, I believe he said an IUD blew up his armored vehicle? Anyway the thing that caught my attention was he was treated and sent back out doing his job "same day" !!! So that tells me he got a "bandaid" purple heart. Friggin minor injury!

He is no hero to me, actually the opposite. I think he should be hung for treason for leaking a presidential conversation!

What a distasteful comment, from another person that never served in the military.
The Purple Heart Medal is awarded to members of the armed forces of the U.S. who are wounded by an instrument of war in the hands of the enemy and posthumously to the next of kin in the name of those who are killed in action or die of wounds received in action. It is specifically a combat decoration.
