I had a couple of machines lately, that had a dirty hard to get to photocell causing an issue. In both cases I went to my truck, retrieved a drinking straw and used it to blow out the photocell with out removing more screws. I then found in the sporting goods section at Wally World, a set of stainless steel drinking straws for $3. Now my latest handy tool in my bag. Also used one to get lube to a bearing without getting it everywhere else.

How does the oil taste? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Best recent purchase was a fold up hand cart from Harbor Freight. $25 and for $10 more they put a 2 year replacement on it, no matter what I do to it. I take that as a challenge. The greatest enemy of knowledge isn't ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. Stephen HawkingComment

I'll jump in: I like the UpCart. It took me 5 years to break the first one. I'm 2 years into the second one. Pay the extra for the cast aluminum front legs. The ones I made cost me another $50.

Re: My new handy tool
Cans of air prob one of my top 5 used items in bag. I'm self employed and write cost off as if a tool. As far as I'm concerned a very valuable tool. Buy it by the case and get a decent break in cost. Using Uline cans currently and is ok. I miss Densigraphix canned air, best pressure ever, turn can upside down and could freeze a bug in mid-flight 6 feet awayLast edited by copyman; 01-07-2020, 05:20 AM.Comment

Be careful of the canned air, some are flamable; I was cleaning a machine with the spray and vacuumeing at the same time when a loud 'bang' interrupted a quite morning."You can't trust your eyes, if your mind is out of focus" --Comment

Thanks for the heads up. Never thought of that. I have seen toner blow up a regular hoover handheld vacuum years ago. And it's not pretty if filter was really full.
Or like a rookie tech at last company I worked for. He left 2 new cans of "compressed" air sitting on dash of company car, with outside temp of 90+ degrees! Blew winshield clean out, tore healiner to shreds !!! Lasted 2 more weeks with company.Comment

Re: My new handy tool
I think I will take my chances with canned air rather than using a straw to blow into a piece of electronic equipmentComment

Just add straw...

Google: Giottos Air Rocket.
Somebody here recommended it to me and I haven't used canned air since. Using compressed air you're just re-distributing the dirt anyway ... right into another sensor or a laser or something even more sensative.
