Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
Virtually no-one wears them over here, but if you get stuck behind a face mask wearer in a shop, they're usually the sort of person who would buy a newspaper with a bag full of pennies, and once paid decide they want some chewing gum.
So they're either stupid, awkward, or a bit of both.
Same here. You don't see many wearing masks anymore. Still see the odd one walking down the street wearing one though. I never understood the reasoning behind that. Outside is where you are safest from airborne viruses.Comment

You are safest outdoors, so why did they impose lockdowns, surely lockdowns increase the chance of spreading something.

Nobody stopped people from going outside during lockdown. They just didn't want people gathering in groups while outside. There is a distinction there.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
I find it very curious that some folks used past studies to try to convince us that masks work. But now that the most compressive study has said those studies were flawed and that masks don't work, they ignore it. You're a silly man that can't admit that you were ever wrong.
“There is just no evidence that they” — masks — “make any difference,” -Tom Jefferson, the Oxford epidemiologist
But, wait, hold on. What about N-95 masks, as opposed to lower-quality surgical or cloth masks?
“Makes no difference — none of it,” said Jefferson
What about the studies that initially persuaded policymakers to impose mask mandates?
“They were convinced by nonrandomized studies, flawed observational studies.” - Tom Jefferson, the Oxford epidemiologist
