Three months from now her supervisor would review her employment contract and tell her her options.

All nurses believe in medical science so not taking the vaccine was never a consideration for her. In fact, she looked forward to it.

If I'm understanding correctly, a nurse can refuse the vaccine and not be fired. Keep in mind that she's around the most venerable folks in Canada. But you say that other companies can force their workers to get the vaccine or fire them. Got it.

Re my daughter, the young nurse, who rec'd her first Pfizer vaccine yesterday:

1). Was given the opportunity to refuse to be injected with the vaccine.
2). Rec'd a digital passport from the Nova Scotia Dept of Heath proving to anyone who might enquire the date that she rec'd the vaccine.

Let's see if I understanding you correctly, in Canada you can get a digital passport just for getting vaccinated? In the United States, and most other countries, in order to get a passport you have to apply for one, have an FBI (or equivalent agency) background check and have a suitable photograph taken. Once that has been completed and you go to the passport office to pickup your actual passport you can then request a digital passport and they will download it to you mobile device. Or are you referring to a vaccination endorsement to her existing passport as required for a number of vaccines in order to travel to certain parts of the world?

The vaccine passport is not equivalent in any way to Federal gov't issued passport for ID or international travel purposes.

It is simply an email with an official looking attachment from the Dept of Health saying you were immunized on this date with a named COVID-19 vaccine.
