To top it off the staff was rude. I've never seen anything like it. The casinos were always a stickler for detail. Also, my brother told me that most of the fast food joints are out of many menu items and are closing early because lack of people to hire.

    This is bad.

Even though I have been vaccinated I think a cruise ship would be about the last place I would want to be.

You are aware that the majority of US citizen cannot afford to take a vacation on a cruise ship. Never have been able to, never will be able to.

Cruise lines were hurting even before the pandemic!
With a couple of accidents that were widely televised, and the frequency of people getting sick (norovirus, flu, strep, etc.) from being in close quarters for that long, and the ever-soaring prices to make up for the lack of passengers, people's desire to go on a cruise has dwindled over the years.

Biden admin launching 'door-to-door' push to vaccinate Americans, sparks major backlash

The Biden administration is launching a new "door-to-door" effort to vaccinate Americans after falling short of its Fourth of July goal of having 70 percent of the adult population with at least one shot of the coronavirus vaccine.

Amid the administration's ongoing concerns of a surge of the more contagious Delta variant of the virus, President Biden pitched his plan to boost the vaccinated population during remarks he made on Tuesday.

"Now we need to go community by community, neighborhood by neighborhood and often times door-to-door- literally knocking on doors, to get help to the remaining people protected from the virus," Biden said.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki also referred to the "door-to-door" effort while listing the five objectives of Biden's COVID response earlier in the day at Tuesday's briefing, citing "targeted community door-to-door outreach" to "get remaining Americans vaccinated by ensuring that they have the information they need on how both safe and accessible the vaccine is."

Unless we have a pre-arranged meeting, or someone I know ( security cams are worth it )
I don't answer the door .. if I do I'll have one on my side and a shotgun in my hands.
I have proper warning signs and plenty of light to show me what's going on.

One would think that the Democrat Party would not want to antagonize any more voters.

... sounds to me to be lots of good paying federal jobs for people that want to work for a good cause.

They will not be spending much time trying to convince every wanker like Phil B and Slimslob to get vaccinated when there are so many other more reasonable people to reach.

I seem to remember a time in history when certain people went door to door to find the "non-conformers".
Will these "door-to-door vaccine officials" be wearing red arm bands also?

You're right.....it's not like it could kill ME! My body is 99.97% effective at keeping me Alive and Well! Proven to be quite effective this past year and a half.
The vaccine wasn't made for people like me.
I don't fit ANY of the "at risk"/ "high risk" categories.
And most of the people that have received the vaccine DO fit into those categories, such as yourself (old).
                              Get what I'm saying?

Same thing with any other virus such as the flu. Most people that get a flu vaccine choose to do so because they would otherwise be SEVERELY affected. People like me, who are mostly healthy, younger, and have a good immune system, aren't affected to near the degree of people in the "at risk"/ "high risk" categories, and therefore choose not to get a vaccine.
