Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
Florida broke its single-day record for new COVID-19 cases on Thursday as the omicron variant continues to drive a surge in infections.
The state reported 31,758 cases to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention database on Thursday. The previous high was 27,669 in August when the delta variant swept the state.
The statewide positivity rate rose to 13.8 percent for the week, up from 5.3 percent the week prior.
Florida had its largest single-day spike in cases earlier this week, another illustration of how the new variant has hit the United States hard.Comment

And now you righties think the Spanish language is a race. I guess that opens up more opportunities for you to call people racists. As you so, so often do.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
There is IMHO only one race for us.. the human race.
Yes we hail from different countries/regions/skin color/language but we ARE the HUMAN race.
Do we all not cry a tear? Bleed red? Care about loved ones?
Politics separates/divides us.
But if we LOOK at what we all NEED (notice not want) we can all for the most part agree.
Can we not?

No it's the LIBERALS that are calling Spanish a race.

As you can see, Slim referred to the Spanish language as a race. Do you have the courage to admit it? I doubt it.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
At this point, anyone still on the Biden bandwagon is either brainwashed or drunk.
We went from literally 11 months safe streets to record crime. We went from a secure border to complete chaos. We went from stable prices to now record inflation. We went from strength and projecting strength around the world to the debacle that was the exit in Afghanistan. So, you name the policy. They have screwed it upAdversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

No it is race baiting Democrats that have labeled usurping something from another culture as racism.Comment

Re: Latest on the Corona Virus
Is anyone into health and fitness?
I ask because I believe it's important in the battle vs. covid. Years ago, my doctor told me that I needed to raise my "ceiling" in case I ever got sick. I wasn't sure what he meant so I asked him. His response?
He said that there's 2 critical things I should concentrate on:
1. Cardio
2. Muscle mass
He said that if either or both are low to begin with that if I got sick that I didn't have that far to drop before I was in trouble.
That made a lot of sense to me. I was about 30 at the time and I took his advice to heart.
From that day forward, I've lived a different life. My regimen has changed over the years but here's where I'm at today.
1. No sugar. It's a killer and the main cause for obesity and disease.
2. No processed foods. Another killer.
3. Currently I do intermittent fasting. Only one meal per day.
I talked about food before exercise and here's why:
You can't exercise your way out of a bad diet.
4. I run at least a couple of miles every day.
5. I lift weights 3 days per week.
Lately I've done more running because I want to increase my lung capacity just incase I come down with covid.
If you're out of shape, you're at a much greater risk of dying from not only covid, but a lot of things.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment
