Republicans win full control of both houses of Congress in November 2022. They take office in January 2023. At which time they impeach and convict him. That is 1.5 years from now.

Betting Opens On Joe Biden Completing Full Term Of Presidency

Betting Opens On Joe Biden Completing Full Term Of Presidency

US president Joe Biden appears increasingly likely to complete a full four-year term in office despite initial skepticism over the 78-year-old’s capacity to see the job through.

Biden beat Donald Trump by some seven million votes in the 2020 US election and defied his critics – Trump being one – who said he was too old to serve as Commander-in-Chief.

The president’s polling figures have fluctuated over his first five months in power and currently sit around 53%, which is something of a recovery from the 46% approval rating produced by some polls back in April.

The Democrat’s first 100 days in office saw him push through a range of spending measures and a $1.9tn Covid relief package.

His ratings have gained a further boost after a statesman-like appearance at the G7 summit and trip to Brussels this month.

          Biden Odds Improving

The president and First Lady Jill Biden were the photo op everyone wanted at the summit in Cornwall, where the US made clear their objection to a Brexit trade war brewing between the UK and Ireland.

It is said a “candid” message was issued to UK prime minister Boris Johnson regarding the issue and the threat to the Good Friday Agreement that any dispute could trigger.

After meeting the Queen he was then whisked off to Brussels for talks with the EU about improving the relationship between America and the bloc in the face of international tensions with Russia and China.

Biden’s presence on his first major trip to Europe has strengthened his odds of seeing out a first full term.

When Biden was inaugurated back in January online betting sites initially gave the president their backing on him seeing out four years in the White House, only for those odds to come crashing in before his first 100 days in office.

At one stage he was considered almost 50/50 to quit his post or be forced out but those odds have since come in to 4/7 on him being in office come 2024, suggesting he has a 63.6 per cent chance of keeping his post.

That price is significant as it suggests punters are banking on the president’s longevity – and a stable leadership is considered paramount to keeping the American public onside.

          2024 US Election Betting

While Biden appears to be in a good position for now, the chances of him remaining as president after the next election are not exactly in his favour.

His vice president Kamala Harris remains the 4/1 frontrunner to be voted in as president come 2024, while Donald Trump is floating around at 6/1 – although the businessman is yet to confirm whether or not he will run as a Republican candidate.

There are also suggestions Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis could rival Trump for the GOP pick. He is as short as 11/1 to be elected president, with his price having collapsed in recent months.

Most Americans reject validity of Republican funded 2020 election audits

Most of the public rejects Republican efforts to audit states' 2020 election results, saying they believe the reviews are an attempt to undermine valid election outcomes, according to a Monmouth University poll released Monday.

A 57% majority of Americans say that, based on what they've heard about the audits conducted or proposed by legislatures in some states, they view them as "partisan efforts to undermine valid election results." Just a third say they see them more as "legitimate efforts to identify potential voting irregularities.

Further, 40% of the public says that such audits will weaken American democracy, while 20% say it will strengthen it. Another 35% expecting them to have no impact.

The problem-ridden audit of Arizona's 2020 election results, which has exasperated even some Republicans in the state, hasn't uncovered evidence suggesting widespread voter fraud. But it has inspired pro-Trump Republicans to push for similar efforts in other states.

Although the survey didn't explicitly identify the audits as Republican-led efforts, it still found sharp divides along political lines. A near-universal 90% of Democrats view the audits as bad faith, partisan ploys. Republican support for the audits is broad, but less overwhelming: 59% call them legitimate, with 31% seeing them as attempts to overturn valid results.

Both the overall numbers and the partisan divides reflect wider opinions about the 2020 election. Most Americans, 61%, believe President Joe Biden won the 2020 election fair and square, a number that's budged little since last November. But 57% of Republicans say they believe the baseless theory that Biden's victory was due to voter fraud.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) said Tuesday that he will vote in favor of advancing a sweeping election bill after striking a deal with Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on a compromise proposal.

Schumer, speaking to reporters after a closed-door caucus lunch, announced that he and Manchin had reached an agreement that will allow Democrats to be unified in support of advancing the For the People Act as it faces a 60-vote procedural hurdle.

"I'm pleased to report that Sen. Manchin and I have come to an agreement. He came to my office, oh, about two hours ago, and we worked it out," Schumer told reporters.

Under the deal, Manchin will provide a 50th Democratic vote on advancing the For the People Act, though it will still fail to overcome Tuesday's procedural hurdle because of a GOP filibuster that requires 60 votes. But being unified, Democrats hope, will keep the focus on GOP opposition to the bill.

                              The main line there!
Why even go forward with a vote when you know it is 100% guaranteed to fail?
                              What a waste of time!
I thought Kamala was supposed to take the lead on this and "Get it done"......? The only thing she did was show up on the Floor (not on her knees this time), and broke the bad news that everyone already knew coming into the vote.

I hope that other states will jump on board with Florida, and teach our kids the ACTUAL history of our country, the evils of communism, and how to be responsible citizens.
My state already (still) teaches these things, and has been for a long time, and is on track to ban CRT in our schools. I believe this helps our youth to better comprehend the realities of life, and gives them a "leg up" in everyday life.
These democrat cities and liberal school systems that are walking away from Traditional History/ Civics courses, and promoting CRT and "Wokeness", are literally sabotaging their youth's chances at succeeding in life.

saidonly two in five Americans can correctly name the three branches of government, and more than a third of Americans cannot name any of the rights guaranteed by the First Amendment. It is abundantly clear that we need to do a much better job of educating our students in civics to prepare them for the rest of their lives.
