More jobs were lost during the Trump administration than any other in history. Approximately 4 million fewer people were employed from January 2017 to September 2020, according to the most recent publicly available data.

For many years now, I've told my close friends and family that socialism will eventually win out and get it's day in the sun. Let's face it, it's not that difficult to convince a bunch of people that the reason they're not successful is because some rich man is to blame. People don't like to blame themselves.

I also said that socialism would quickly fail but only when the pain to stay the same exceeds the pain to change.

We're starting to feel the the pain of bail reform. Crime is way up, Murder is way up. We just had a mass murder by a guy that should have never been let out on bail. We're starting the feel the pain at the pump via Joe's energy policy.

I predict that the massive 1.5 trillion dollar spending bill will drive inflation higher and that will be the final death knell of the socialist/Marxist agenda.

Just hang in there, this could be a net positive for the country in the long run.

... so why has the oil industry chosen not to put these workers and capacity back into production amidst record profits? To make even more profit at the expense of everyday US energy consumers?

Energy independence is a key part of any nation's agenda. The USA needs the capacity now.

The transition to a more dominant renewable energy economy will take many years thankfully accelerated by President Biden's new infrastructure law.

If it drops much more it will go below production cost level here in California. When that happens you will see long lines and rationing or back to only being able to buy fuel on based on the last digit of your license plate.

When the world was searching for a covid vaccine, Canada was begging other countries because they didn't have the resources to invent or produce their own.

Now that the world is facing extradentary prices at the pump, Canada is once again doing it's part by releasing 50 million pounds of maple syrup from it's reserves.

Canada releases 50 million pounds from maple syrup reserve amid global shortage

The consortium of more than 11,000 Canadian maple syrup producers said this week that a warmer- and shorter-than-expected spring led to a 24 percent year-over-drop in production of the pancake topping.
Amid surging demand for syrup as more people cook at home amid the pandemic, the cartel has been forced to tap a whopping 50 million pounds of syrup from its strategic reserve.

I'm not talking about refining. I am talking about the cost of getting in out of the ground. The same is true when they talk about the market price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI). WTI is the underlying commodity for the NYMEX's oil futures contract and is considered a high-quality oil that is easily refined. WTI is one of the standards for Light Sweet Crude.

If I am going to go the expense of buying pure maple syrup, I stick with products from Vermont and other parts of New England. The rest of the world can have that Canadian crap.
