So there I am trying to diagnose a 900.22 ...Not in the manual, not finding anything online
The manuals for these things suck
The diagnostics for these suck
The training is a joke...ride with a guy for a few days...literally that was the official training.
I spoke to 'tech support' ...I got pissed as they REALLY suck...never even seen a copier before...Whatever back water po-dunk shit hole of a country Lexmark outsourced their support to has made them absolutely worthless.
There is almost zero theory of operation in the manuals and we deal primarily with Toshiba. All i really wanted to know was what does 900.22 MEAN so i could troubleshoot.
Although I have a long background in Konica ..back in the day their manuals were top notch and diagnostics to match...I think they inherited too many of the minolta dipshits and its been downhill ever since...where was I..oh..these hybrid KM Lex things are 'okay' so long as you don't expect them to last more than 3 years and understand that they are just expensive toss away machines with nothing to fix or rebuild as everything is just an expensive unit you toss...
Machine is an XC9235, has about 500,00 cycles with the standard 2 500 sheet trays and a finisher.
(tech support did not know that "The paper makes it all the way out of the fuser and midway into the bridge unit" meant that yes it made it past the fucking registration roller)
Machine will feed a page from any tray all the way into the bridge unit then stop with a 900.22 jam. remove jam and it will feed again but the paper will stop most of the way out of the fuser with the lead edge crumpled and give a 35 check media guides which is all it will do until you reboot the damn thing.
sensor states in service looked good and would actuate properly
Eventually I decided that the registration flag though clean and correctly installed must be slow to return so i added a wrap to the spring...once i navigated the shit list of disassembly instructions in the manual that is...and the machine ran nonstop for over 100 pages (would not run 1 before).
