Re: lexmark ... Me no like

Before Covid I also saw a shaft of Sharp equipment being made in Thailand instead of China. After the pandemic hit I started to get in toners with labels stuck over the Made in China that had Made in Japan printed on them. I don't remember seeing Sharp toners with Made in Japan on them in years. The toner I currently have in stock have been made in Japan & Thailand.

With the KM toner issue I'd think rebadged Lexmarks were at the bottom of the list to get any newly manufactured toners.

The training is a joke...ride with a guy for a few days...literally that was the official training.
I spoke to 'tech support' ...I got pissed as they REALLY suck...never even seen a copier before...Whatever back water po-dunk shit hole of a country Lexmark outsourced their support to has made them absolutely worthless.
There is almost zero theory of operation in the manuals and we deal primarily with Toshiba. All i really wanted to know was what does 900.22 MEAN so i could troubleshoot.
Although I have a long background in Konica ..back in the day their manuals were top notch and diagnostics to match...I think they inherited too many of the minolta dipshits and its been downhill ever since...where was I..oh..these hybrid KM Lex things are 'okay' so long as you don't expect them to last more than 3 years and understand that they are just expensive toss away machines with nothing to fix or rebuild as everything is just an expensive unit you toss...

Machine is an XC9235, has about 500,00 cycles with the standard 2 500 sheet trays and a finisher.

(tech support did not know that "The paper makes it all the way out of the fuser and midway into the bridge unit" meant that yes it made it past the fucking registration roller)

Machine will feed a page from any tray all the way into the bridge unit then stop with a 900.22 jam. remove jam and it will feed again but the paper will stop most of the way out of the fuser with the lead edge crumpled and give a 35 check media guides which is all it will do until you reboot the damn thing.

sensor states in service looked good and would actuate properly

Eventually I decided that the registration flag though clean and correctly installed must be slow to return so i added a wrap to the spring...once i navigated the shit list of disassembly instructions in the manual that is...and the machine ran nonstop for over 100 pages (would not run 1 before).

being a lexmark tech i saw your post and decided to read over it. when i pulled up the service manual for the xc9235. i did a search for the 200.92 error that you mentioned. the very first instance of the 200.92 error popped up and shows me what the error is related to. what manual are you using????

A freshly Downloaded one from the service website (which is a POS) - it's dated 5-9-2018.
If there is a newer one then they don't have it listed correctly and they don't have it documented for their support call center

*edit* so I decided to go looking and did find a newer service manual on the new MobileTech web site but 200.92 is still not in it...
Also why so many fucking websites lexmark ?

partnernet.lexmark.com/en_us/dashboard.html --Landing point but links don't really work well to the satellite sites and will not take login credentials unless you direct link to the satellite site.
SSO | Lexmark NOT use parts.lexmark.com as it refuses to show our dealer info and wants credit card only, Lexmark can't fix...
service.lexmark.com - seems to not function again
Dashboard | Lexmark Cloud Services - only thing that works but sucks as I have to give everyone full edit rights to actually see the GD fleet or you have to export reports.
LexmarkU.skillport.com - has changed to http://percipio.lexmark.com but still sucks
support.lexmark.com - good luck as the login seems to be broken half the time
Mobiletech.lexmark.com - new site but is designed as online only unless you find the 'download as pdf' link but likes to download the website code instead.

i apologize. i looked again, i had the wrong service manual on this model open. i don't see anything that exact error. i see the 200.91 and 200.93 only, nothing about 200.92

Googling around I found the 200.92 error code on what appears to be mono Lexmark models that are rebadged Konicas but I can't be sure as we only sell the BSD Lexmark made models.

All the hits came back as "200.92 Paper size error was detected."
