The Tesla Semi has officially landed the green light to be delivered to customers. The EPA confirmed to Teslarati that the Semi has been assessed by the agency and granted a Certificate of Conformity to enter the stream of commerce, something Tesla had not gained from the agency in previous years after announcing imminent deliveries in 2020 and 2021.

I wouldn't work at a harmful job either. Even if I were paid well. But in India where I live it is quite common, because we have too much smog in Delhi. So my sister found {Moderated to remove spam link} and said that I could find a job in UAE and I won't be exposed to smog any longer. Perhaps we all can move there after some time.

The company estimates that solar power alone can fuel about 70 miles of driving per week.


For longer trips though, the Sion has a lithium iron phosphate battery with a 190-mile range, made by Chinese electric vehicle and battery giant BYD.

Sono is contracting with Finnish company Valmet Automotive to produce the Sion, and the company says there are already 42,000 reservations for the car in Europe. The goal is to produce 257,000 Sions by 2030.

The first electric fire truck in North America operates out of Los Angeles Fire Station 82 in Hollywood.

The fire truck was manufactured by the company Rosenbauer.

"The truck has been in service since early September and it's responded to nearly 500 calls for service to date," said Todd McBride, RTX Sales and Marketing Manager at Rosenbauer.

Why switch over to electric? LAFD Deputy Chief Richard Fields believes electric is the obvious future of the automotive industry.

"I see us exploring this type of technology in other avenues, other vehicles that we use in public safety. And so, it's an exciting future to be part of," Fields said.

The truck has been in the making for almost a decade. It only takes about 30 to 45 minutes to charge. And it's got plenty of bells and whistles like touch screens and cameras, and firefighters say it's easy to steer. Plus, it's quiet.

"The plan right now was for L.A. to take the next six months to get a lot of feedback from the firefighters. And we'll use that feedback to develop the further generations of this vehicle," said McBride.
