I don't think those should happen either, but at least that's a proven technology that benefits everyone, not just those rich enough to afford an EV and the charging station and the installation of that charging station.

There are battery powered vehicles in all price ranges so, you don't have to be rich to buy one.

Only if you want a practical one, with a range of more than 150-200 miles at best and even then the range is never near what is stated. You also need to be able to plan trips around the availability of charging stations and weather (too cold or too hot and the range decreases even more). Face it, EVs are a virtue signaling toy right now and are years and some major breakthroughs in battery tech to be more than that. This doesn't take into account the ecological damage done in mining the materials needed for the batteries and electronics, nor that added load on an already overburdened infrastructure.

NJ congressman demands investigation into whether offshore wind projects are killing whales
'I demand that all offshore wind activity be halted until it is properly determined what the effects of these activities are having on our marine life,' Van Drew said

A New Jersey congressman is demanding an investigation into whether offshore wind projects are killing whales off the coast of the Garden State and the state of New York.

Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-N.J., announced on Friday that he would be calling for an investigation into the increasing number of dead whales that have washed up off the coast of New Jersey over the last month once committee assignments for the 118th Congress are finalized.

In less than two months, seven dead whales have washed up along the New Jersey-New York coastline, local media have reported.

LG Energy Solution and Honda Motor Co. officially announced the formal establishment of the EV battery joint venture (JV), tentatively named L-H Battery Company.

The new lithium-ion battery cell factory will be built in Fayette County, near Jeffersonville, in Ohio, with a target manufacturing capacity of 40 GWh annually. Construction will begin in early 2023 with a goal to complete the works by the end of 2024 and start mass production by the end of 2025.

The partnership between LG Energy Solution is a way for Honda to secure a stable, high-volume supply of pouch lithium-ion battery cells for its upcoming all-electric models in North America. It's important to note that the factory's output will be exclusively to satisfy Honda's needs.
