    NATO question.

I see that Finland joined NATO. Here's my question: Isn't NATO just the USA (sole Super Power) and a bunch of other countries that can't defend themselves? What part of that statement is wrong? Be honest.

Obviously USA(or any other superpower) will wants to be superman and world policeman, that gives unprecedented power and control. Money spent are nothing but dimes compared to economic, resources and political control.
As for Finland now NATO can put weapons in that territory.

Here's my point. Most of the countries in NATO don't spend what they promised on their military and we're bound by NATO to protect them if they're attacked. Why should the USA protect those countries when they aren't taking it seriously enough? It you ask me, the USA is getting fucked royally.

I know that is big picture with lots of twists and turns and don't understand it at all.

Still I get your point but do you believe the biggest fish in the pond can be hacked by smaller ones, it's still evolution line and same principle applies.

Again, my point is simple. Those other countries can't defend themselves because they don't spend enough on their military and they rely on the USA to protect them.

It's like borrowing money from the bank, not paying it back and expecting the bank to pay your bills. Simple as that.

You have to remember NATO was formed in 1949 basically to form 1 alliance to look stronger against aggression from Soviet Union . It kept the smaller countries to keep there individualism but look stronger from aggression from abroad . It worked to win the cold war and the U.S. would not be as powerful in that region without the European countries .

Everyone keep avoiding my point. None of those other countries are capable of defending themselves. Most don't spend what they promised on their military and rely on the USA. I think the USA is getting fucked. No?

Your question is small part of big picture in fact you are right but digging into it is pointless.

Why is it pointless? Why can't those other countries start paying their fair share? How long does the USA allow this to go on? Do you think its fair?

One other to consider about NATO and it smaller nations in Europe. Those countries give the US a foot hold in Europe. The one member that in effect provides nothing is Canada. But then again if they weren't a part of the British Commonwealth, Trudeau would be allying with China and Russia.

Foothold, smoothold. The USA is footing the the bill and these other countries won't even pay the bare minimum. And they get offended when they're called out on it. Bullshit. Complete bullshit.

                            Re: NATO question.

Spain has been a member of NATO since 1982, providing bases and support to the US army. We have participated in wars created by you against the majority opinion of the people (Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan...) to be partners in the coalition, including some thermoatomic bomb dropped from your planes. Our economic contribution may not be the necessary compared to yours but believe me that we need each other to fight against communism and Islamist terrorism among other evils.
If you want more information about the nuclear incident that your planes carried out in my country and of which we were complacent allies and friends.
