Looks like another Gov Dipstick lost in court coming

Buttons containing pronouns are seen on a table as guests and others arrive for an “alternative commencement” in 2023 in Sarasota. A district judge in Tallahassee on Wednesday sided with two teachers, including one in Hillsborough County, who said a law restricting them from using their preferred pronouns in class was discriminatory.

It seems that Maga men are so close to falling out of the closet that just seeing a rainbow crosswalk is all it would take.

FDOT issued a memo dated June 30 that says the 2025 FDOT Design Manual “prohibits the application of pavement or surface art on travel lanes, paved shoulders, intersections, crosswalks or sidewalks” besides traffic markings. “Non-standard surface markings, signage, and signals that do not directly contribute to traffic safety or control can lead to distractions or misunderstandings, jeopardizing both driver and pedestrian safety,” the memo says.

What makes the LGBTQ group more special then any other group to go around painting whatever they want there politcal colors .

The Free State of Florida now has State Police watching crosswalks because heaven forbid it's painted rainbow colors

I bet that State Trooper said “You want me to do what?? You’re kidding me. You want me to park and make sure no one paints a rainbow on a side street? I will set my alarm so i can wake up when my shift is over how about that.” Meanwhile accidents one after another that they could be responding too.

Guess what was in the 2024 nothing about rainbows buddy

This is a deliberate rule that was to target people of color and LGBT communities.
Same with the Skyway lights and the bridge lights

This is the traffic control book that every state follows

                              Street art read it
                              Florida is full of Shit

The Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) governs traffic control devices, but recent editions now explicitly allow asphalt art and other street art under certain conditions. While traditional, color-intensive crosswalks and intersection murals may be restricted, the updated MUTCD provides leeway for aesthetic treatments like painted bike lanes and asphalt art, recognizing their role in traffic calming and community beautification. Projects must be carefully designed, respecting the MUTCD's guidance on retroreflectivity and avoiding interference with official traffic signs and signals.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Painted over, colored in, and painted over again, what until recently was an approved and undisturbed rainbow crosswalk outside of the former Pulse Nightclub is now black, white, and apparently under supervision.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers stood and watched Sunday morning as people used chalk to color the sidewalk next to the crosswalk at S Orange Avenue and W Esther Street.

Robby Dodd said even though he was told by the troopers to stay on the sidewalk, he still wanted to make a statement.

“My friends died here. That’s it. This is their memorial. This is theirs,” he said. “They told me where I could color, they told me I could stay on the sidewalk without getting into any kind of trouble, so I’m staying on the sidewalk, but I’m still going to color.”

Florida state Rep. Anna Eskamani, D-Orlando, used social media to claim the troopers had been placed there to threaten people with arrest if they used chalk to color the crosswalk like they’ve been doing since Thursday when it was discovered the state painted over it during the night.

“You would think our state has bigger problems to solve but NOPE this is what they’ve committed public dollars & time towards,” Eskamani said.

On Sunday evening, News 6 reporter Jayna Manohalal returned to the crosswalk and spoke wirth concerned citizens at the site.

“The police came over several times and made-up rules. There were a couple of times when I asked questions and then they back down in the maybe two hours we’ve been here, they’ve changed what the rule is at least four times,” Jill Hakemian a Winter Park resident. “There’s a stop sign. And then she was like, yeah, I guess that’s the exception. So, we went and colored over there. Then they came back and said, no, you can’t. There was a shift change and their superior officer was here and said we couldn’t color at all.”

Law enforcement more than doubled in less than a day with three marked Orlando Police Department vehicles, two marked FHP vehicles, one unmarked law enforcement vehicle and at least three Orlando police patrol vehicles.

“Oh, I think this is straight up intimidation. That’s what this is about. That’s what is happening here. They are trying to intimidate people by having more, more officers here so that people will be afraid,” said Stephanie Vanos, an Orange County School Board Member who said she was not speaking on behalf of the board.

Orlando installed the crosswalk in 2017 after getting the OK from the Florida Department of Transportation. An online petition signed by more than 2,000 people called on the city to install the rainbow to honor both the memory of the victims and the struggle of the survivors from the Pulse shooting, the petition’s website states.

FDOT arranged for the tribute to be painted black about two months after a directive from the Trump administration ordering the removal of so-called “distracting” road art. U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy sent letters to all 50 governors urging the removal of any roadway markings or political messages not directly related to pedestrian or driver safety.
