Thank you! - thank you! - thank you!

This post is exactly that- A thank you to everyone.

I just read a post where the person was tire of everyone posting "GIMME THIS" requests.

On the contrary, I want to say thank you to all the extremely helpful and knowledgeable people on this forum. Without you being here,,,,well,,,,there would be no forum.

When I purchased my C500 I thought I was sunk in the water! But the help that I received here was fantastic and saved me a small fortune doing it myself. I never lose track of that.

I admit that YES, I am here when I'm in need,,,,,but If I can help,,,,I will,,,,,I've gotten emails regarding problems I've had and how I handled them. So I helped too. Not everyone knows how to be "polite", but I'm sure we were all there at one time.

Not to get away from my original thought - Thanks Everyone! I hope this lowers the rage down a bit,,,,,and wishing everyone a wonderful holiday weekend!

Mark thank you for this thread, it too affords me the opportunity to extend my gratitude to the fine folks here that like you have stated made it possible for me to make numerous repairs to my equipment and the knowledgeable assistance to do it correctly. SO I too will add to the chorus I am sure will follow of thanks!

I also would like to say thanks to all that have helped me and others. Apparently I am not the brightest bulb in the room because I just figured out to do the rep thing. I apologise to all those who deserved a positive feedback and I didn't give them anything. DnG

Well, my message goes both ways:

        - Thanks to all of you who helped me when I was in need - I reckon I asked for help more often than I gave it back in return. I try to help whenever I can, even if my contribution proves to be utterly wrong - that happens a lot when you try to troubleshoot at a distance. It was not so long ago that I joined this forum, and my only regret is that I didn't find it sooner.

        - To those few I was able to help, you're welcome. The only thing I ask in return is that you stick around and help others - please don't go away now that your problem is solved.

Cheers and love and hugs and all that. Spread the love!

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I really want to thank the person who invented the Phillips screwdriver. If they had not done it, it would be a bitch taking all those Phillips screws out of copiers.

This thread ended up totally Fantastic! I've heard more positive, and funny things here than many other places on copytechnet. You guys ARE all fantastic. Yes we were all once beginners,,,,and I for one still am a beginner in many aspects of things. I guess it takes a little EXTRA time to remember to say please and thank you,,,,,but it seems that on the inside, most of us haven't forgotten how to say these things after all. Let us never make the "techies" and more experienced people out there feel used or neglected. They are important to us.

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day,,(in the USA) and hope everyone else just had a great weekend!
