    From whence we came

Hey guys do you remember the NP 155 from canon? That is right that is how long I have been working on copiers.

I remember the NP 1215, I remember repairing these machines when a customer could not afford a new high voltage board or a dc controller board those days the boards can be repaired with resistors and transistors or ic,s, I sure do miss those days.

The NP 3050 well I think I will give you guys some time to rant here, I am loving the technical work with photocopiers/printers in general can't wait to expand into the technology as it leaps us forward.

Well the NP3050 was the first Canon with a fairly reliable duplexer. Up until then, the NP3525 duplexer sucked. Some of then never worked. My first Canons were NP1215, NP1500, NP1520, NP3025, NP3525, NP6650, NP8530. The 6650 and 8530 were both halfway decent machines once we figured out the Ultrex connectors. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

my fingers still hurt from "crimping" those things together on the 3025's and 4835's. I got stuck working at a large bank in the area and that was all they had at the office tower downtown. I took care of 90 machines in that building and did backflips when they finally upgraded to the NP-4050 and NP-6050 series. Those were the days when you actually had to have the ability to measure voltages and troubleshoot problems....I kind of miss them!!!
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
