    They are MFD's.
It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Whats the funniest thing a customer has tried/able to put through a photocopier?

About 3 years ago I went to a 3224c machine in a primary school whereby, instead of even using any sort of actual OHP acetates, they had cut the edges of those hole punched document pouches for ring binders and put them through the machine and this predictably (for us techs at least) resulted in melted plastic fuser death. The fumes from the destroyed pouches/fuser had set the fire alarm off, the fire brigade had been called and I got it with both barrels from the woman on reception. Admittedly the 3224c (being basically a rehashed 1224c and we all know how good they are) is/was a pile of crap, but she didn't half take some convincing as to the cause of the problem. Even though they even left the evidence on a table nearby.. i.e an open box of A4 document wallets with a pair of scissors and the trimmings...there was also a very sheepish looking guy who kept sticking his head round the corner of the little store cupboard/copy room and immediately disappearing when I looked at him.

This was doubly annoying because it was actually a repeat call on myself and I'd already practically rebuilt the fuser less than a week before. I was crapping it wondering if I'd rebuilt the fuser properly.

Man some great ones in here...how about a mouse that made it through the fuser rollers on a Canon NP500 they can fit through small cracks but not that small lol ! I found some rabit shit in a bubble jet printer once when I was working in the shop, just a few weeks ago I found a big potato chip in the stapler are on an MJ1101 finsher...no Idea how it got in there but it was a government office ! Years ago when I did the color production machines for Canon I had a bunch of print shops that were always running over spec stock through the machines, one day I went into one of the shops and the manager of the place was cutting some plywood into strips , and I said hello what ya doing Bruce? His answer came out so quickly I nearly pissed myself laughing, when he said"just getting some new stock ready to try in the CLC 1000"

Once had a by pass jam on a CLC900, a leaf from a rather large rubber tree fell off and onto the by pass tray and of coarse got sucked into the copier, found a new condom in a bubblejet printer as well..even found a butter knife in one once !

I had a call on a analog Minolta EP2050. For those not familiar with this model, the transport deck had a handle on it to drop it down for jam removal. The customer had their hand UNDER that, removing jam after jam and told me 'I keep pulling paper out but there is more there! I've pulled out like 20 jams so far!!'

She had her hand IN the first cassette pulling paper out of the tray.

One of the salesman brought in a Canon bubblejet that wouldn't feed. Down in the pickup area there was a painted plastic model car tire with a Mustang logo.

First I asked him about his model car collection, specifically the Mustangs. After he had expounded for a while, he asked how I knew about the model cars? Then I showed him the missing wheel.
