I used to be mistaken for the person in the attached photo (when I was younger), but after years of eating at fast food joints on the road between calls, breathing toner dust, picking up machines that I should have had help with, working in a machine on my knees and breaking nails in machines, I don't look or feel quite the same as I used to. But I still want world peace, guys.

    Prntrfxr is what I would call ONE of a kind. As for not feeling or looking like you use to, who does.

    I have asked for help from this site and received it. I have asked for help without a reply. This is the nature of free help.
    I have tried to give help were I can.

    I will not provide service manuals for 2 reasons:

    1) One of the sites sponsers sells manuals, I will not slap him in the face.
    2) Take the time and find the sites for free manuals (you will spend less money on Paul the time spent in the search.

    Above all the help is free you get what you pay for.

                        I will try to help as much as possible. There are lots of techs that live in small towns and have to service some equipment that they might not have a lot of experiance on. That is my situation. So thanks for the help everyone. In the business before a lot of you were born I bet. Since 1974.

                        In the last 5 weeks I have sent used parts to 2 other techs. Have recieved a part from another tech.

                        This and other sites are a great help.

                            I don't mind helping other on this site, just like everyone else here. I do realize that there are some who only want to take and not give. I first joined this site a few months after I first became a tech, and as such I did not help as much as I was looking for help. As I learned, I began giving more and more help. I will try to answer all questions that I believe I can help with, but use the person's post quantity and rep power when judging the quantity of help to give. If the solution is to make a change in the tech mode, I will post that, but if the person I'm answering has one post or a zero power rep, I won't go any further with my answer. However, if a person has say 60 posts and a 4 rep, I'm figuring this is a good contributor to this forum and will definately go into more details, such as getting into tech mode, what is needed to be removed to get to a part, etc. Firmware, due to the problems that can be caused by improper downloads, is something I will never give and in turn will never ask for.

                                            I understand you are new to this forum, but posting stuff like that is a sure fire way of getting on the wrong side people that can help.

                                            Not trashing you out, just friendly advise.

I do not understand when people ask for manuals and firmware (which I do not give out because I am a bad person) then feel like they have been slighted when people do not give them it for free.

                                                I WANT, I WANT, I WANT a beer. I wonder what the barman would say if I told him I wanted it for free..... Will let you know.
                                                It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.

                                                            I asked and he looked around as if he was trying to find my carer or a camera. I am not sure which one.
                                                            It didn't say that I couldn't do it in the manual.
