I will have to agree with George Carlin.....the world won't ever end....now mankind on the other hand more than likely will....but hey maybe the world made us so after 6000 years we could make stuff for the world that it couldn't make on it's own like plastic...and now it's done with us...

I'm going to have to work on my french language skills .. that was french, wasn't it? I gleaned about 25% of it. I'm better with written languages.

I'm sure that the earth will be here far longer than humans will be. It will most surely be a better, safer place without us. =^..^=

It's not an ancient myth...we really only found out how to read the Myan calender 50-60 years ago...and I believe someone's "Interpretation" of the "End of the World" has only been around for about 20 years...Really, the calender only notes a new cycle...Even the last cycle was so long ago that nobody knows if anything changed that time...I'm pretty confortable making plans for the 22nd...You'd think that a civilization that could predict the end of the world, would be able to see their own little slice of heaven coming to an end...All my kids see (20 and 16) is the discovery channel and hollywood hyping this bullshit so they are a little bit apprehensive, but come on, if you are more than 30 years old, how many times have you heard of some piece of crap that gathered his flock and made them commit suicide over this...Heavens Gate...Jim Jones...Koresh...the list goes on and on...When NASA tells me Apophus is gonna hit us the next time around, this I will believe, but the rest of the insane doomsdayr's can kiss my ass...And the "rapture" falls right into the same catagory...Just last night I heard some preacher on TV making the inane comment that "he's confident the rapture will take place during his lifetime" Well at least he didn't say Wed at 4 pm...Maybe not shithouse rat crazy, but a little to hopefull...Come on, life is tough, but I for one don't want to see it end...I want my 70 years (60 if I'm not mobile or alzheimers set in) Emujo

I also noticed that my regular calendar ends on the 31st of December!! So if the world hasn't ended before that it surely must end then!!



edit: nevermind ... I found a 2013 calendar... WHICH ALSO ENDS ON 31st OF DECEMBER!!! OMG WE'RE DOOMED!
