I don't think I'm ready for a robotic potty, and I know for sure I couldn't afford one.
I hope it isn't part of the "Internet of Things". If a robotic potty gets hacked, it could lead to some surprising results.

Any body else getting these soft porn adverts appearing all over there web pages?
I don't mind the pics for myself, but when the grand kids play on my PCs its not appropriate.
I can block the ads' at the IP source, but the stool webbrowser "hackware" goes around the block an I have to redo it again.

I might just get around to explaining how the "hackware" overlays socket port sharing. It does this by capturering the memory encrypted semaphores to gain access to any and every port on your PC's.

There is no such thing as internet security, its all B/S. Until the software vendors stop allowing socket port sharing there can never be a "secure internet PC". IMHO allowing socket port sharing allows any hacker software to send data down the same port as the original socket opening software, which goes undetected by virus scanners. Hidden processes are another method to gain access internet lines.

Well you can start with one of the top internet security expert, Steve Gibson, grc.com. You might try some of his services and free utilities to check and block ports.

I do not get offensive adverts. For malware protection I use Malwarebytes Anti malware. It can ID and block porn sites. I do frequently get popup notification that a site has been identified and blocked. I also use Adblock Plus.

You can also try setting port and IP at the hardware firewall in your modem/router.

Well, If you can use the Firefox browser or one of it's forks (I mainly use the "Pale Moon" fork), the "NoScript" add on is your friend for this. I've got that and I haven't seen anything like that ever (yet).

Funny this was a topic in another thread a while back. One where I suggested using ad blocker software and also set my browser to reject third part cookies and block popups. There is also a way to prevent flash from playing automatically. I set it up when upgrading a long time ago and do not see advertising videos or even some content until I specifically allow it to play. There is an option when set up that pops up a dialog block to allow flash to play video. And also asks if I want firefox to remember and allow whichever website the content is being prevented from playing.

Others have also suggested some software namely Malwarebytes. I use that running in conjunction with antivirus software. From what I have learned in the past the porn banner ads are being allowed by cookies placed in "safe" banner ads written specifically by people that are being paid by other than their employers to add the extra executable scripts/cookies to ads the company is being paid to write and put on to websites. And the other weird thing I read a while back was most viruses for a period of time were not being downloaded from porn websites. But instead they were being downloaded from celebrity gossip style websites because those were then the most popular and least likely website to be leery of. Added that is now no longer true the porn sites are the most common sites to have infections again. Or the not quite safe for work sites that have a lot of mixed but not full frontal nudity or actual porn videos in the content.

The plain fact is with all the web surfing I do I have never had the problem of porn popup ads. I don't even get pop up ads for non-porn with the ad blocking software and the antivirus software I use. And yes I am not a programmer or other than a long time user of the internet. Like way back when 2400 baud modems were the norm and the most recent web browser was Spry Mosaic.

I took my truck to the car wash last Thursday. I happened to notice a sign in the wash bay. It said to pull the trigger on the wand to get more water pressure. I stopped for a second and wondered how many idiots had stood there letting the water drizzle out of the nozzle and then complained about it. I mean, they had to put up a sign. These same people are allowed to drive and have jobs.
