Ha Neo, we do have an infestation of the flying Asian carp in our river system, The things chase the boats and jump in on their own.......

I've seen powerpole mains transformers explode in the city from time-to-time due to solar storms. So I'm informed.
I saw one of the smaller transformers get struck by lightning in my rearview mirror once. I had to change my underwear when I got home.

The transformers for the apartment complex across the alley from me are located underground. The one next to the alley went one Saturday while I working in the front yard. With the flash and the sound, I thought that a bomb had gone off in the alley.

I spent about a year and a half on a tuna boat. We always had flying fish around. Weird stuff indeed. We had one old guy on the boat who would catch them and put them on the grill and eat the whole thing. He was kind of weird too.
I know I should be ashamed of myself. Strangely though, I am not.

I knew a guy who was in charge of bait on the boat. Been doing it for years. So good at it, we called him a Masterbaiter.

During my teenage youth years I spent a two week period on a prawn/shrimp trawler.
That experience was a true eye opener. The 4 man crew would stay out on the water for a week at a time.
30 mins sleep and 30 mins work day and night every 24 hours for two weeks.
Getting over sea sickness each day, getting caugth one night in huge storming seas with a damage propeller shaft.
I made 7 dollars and 50 cents for two weeks work. It could have been 7 hundred dollars if we didn't break down.
The accompaning sister ship cleaned up around our broken down ship and made a mint of money in one night.

Very good question. I've got no answer, but a very good question.
