A year ago I applied for a job as a part time printer tech. I got a call from the guy on Tuesday and we set up for an interview for today. I was up in his area on Wednesday so I decided to stop in. He hired me. I'll be working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays 4-5 hours a day which is just perfect for me. He knows about my website and I told him I've kept up with the technology (more or less). At one time I was certified on Lexmark, HP and Xerox. I was never an expert on color printers but I can learn. My real expertise is in mono laser printers. I also told him that I hadn't worked in the field in 11 years, he still hired me. The pay is good and it's in cash. Woohoo!
I don't know if this position is going to be a good fit, as his shop is a hazardous workplace. There are printers all over the floor. I can already see myself tripping over a printer and falling on my knees. I just finished a 5 week regimen of getting shots of lubricant in my knees for arthritis. The shots hurt almost as much as the arthritis. So if the job is a good fit and I last, I would like to be able to ask for help on this forum without somebody telling me to RTFM.
Thank you in advance;
Paul
