Re: anal customers
The speed will depend on other factors too, if they have the tray set to thick paper, then it will run slower, if they are doing full page coverage, then the machine may be doing a self check mid runThere are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary maths and those who don't -

Re: anal customers
sod the minimum requirement I was in there for 2 hours pissing about with the registration and wanted out quick. The fault was for a broken staple cover on a trial machine. the guy is a nice person but I can see it will be a problem machine if crappy toner is used.Comment

Re: anal customers
I have a question on this model debs. Why does it not have a cleaner roller on the fuser and how does it keep itself clean? all I can see you replace is the felt under but that doesn't get dirty anyway.Comment

Re: anal customers
I never replace the felt, I think the toner may contain wax, but I'm not sure, I could be wrong (there's a first time for everything )There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary maths and those who don'tComment

Re: anal customers
It's good knowing that the sales person will reinforce false beliefs as well. Client expecting 55 cpm on legal and I had to inform that it was 35 cpm. Had to inform salesperson that cpm listed in model number was more toward 8.5X11 paper. Of course, there were other misquoted specs like finisher tray capacity, color cpm, etc.Comment

Re: anal customers
My enduser wanted a Copystar CS-8030 to print at 80cpm ... onto 11 x 17 paper ... across a VPN network, server based in Europe (we're in the US). It's closer to 30cpm by the way, between the ledger paper and the slow network. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: anal customers
Quite a few years ago, one of my customers wanted me to make a copier do something it wasn't designed to do (but the salesman said it would do it!!!) after quite a bit of trying to reason with them, I pointed to my toolcase and told them that if they could find the magic wand in there, then I would fix their machineThere are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary maths and those who don'tComment
