I just turned 66 a week and a half ago. Still don't like noisy crouds, hockey, basketball, and arena football excepted.
I don't like the loud music anymore, I think the concerts of the '60s, '70s and '80s ruined my hearing; at least that's what I tell my wife (42 years now). I don't know if she believes me or just putting up with me.

Mine is putting up with me @ 30 years. the hearing I claim as male selective even though the concerts from the 70's 80's and 90's had influence the motorcycle racing and fast street cars and big stereo's didn't help......Oh and I do love the things that make the BIG BOOM !!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what's the score with us copier techs? Is it that we are turned into 'old farts' by the job or ar we attracted to the job because we're old farts?
Notice I include myself in this statement - reluctantly spent last night at a party at a neighbours house. Nice people, good company, but BORED with the whole new year thing - it's nearly always an anticlimax. We were home and in bed by 12.10.

Happy new year!
Happy New Year - just past midnight here. I think, we are copier techs because, sometimes, we fall through the cracks and can't climb out into a better job position.

Ok, so I may have "accidentally" ended up at some random house party. Woke up this morning with sand in my pockets. Must have been a good night after all.
Was convinced I was going to stay in too.
Yes, I am a nerd.
Gaming PC - check. Raspberry Pi - Check. Custom ROM on phone - check. Thick glasses - check.
I'm not sure how this qualifies, but I spent the last 8 hours of 2013 finishing a suspended ceiling 50 miles south and east of my home. I didn't do a very good job of quoting it, so I'm glad that I'm finished losing my ass on it. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Hope you didn't have to deal with the ice storm power outage there as well.
Power, phone and internet were out from Dec 22 to Dec 24. I was on my way to the job when the power went out, and upon returning fed the generator for the next two days. The ice didn't start dropping off the trees until Dec 28th (the ones that were still standing, that is).
We made the news? =^..^=

Kind of made the news, there were stories about the ice storm power outages that were from Michigan to the east coast.
I've got some relatives in the Lansing area though who had kind of a tough time with that. So just wanted to make sure you were doing OK.
It was kind of you to ask. We're all fine here. Very little deprivation here.
Just $32.00 in generator gas and 2 quarts of lamp oil.
I keep talking about setting up a separate generator circuit just for this occasion, and haven't got around to it yet. We can support 5500 watts which includes the furnace, refrigerator, sump pump, with about 10A to spare.
We just lie low and pour fuel ... and set the alarm for every 6 hours. I'm sure glad Detroit Edison doesn't charge $16.00 a day.
Thanks for asking. =^..^=
