Sometimes you just have to have the right tool for the job, pony up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you don't like buying tools, you are not a real tech. Manuals included. I have convinced myself to buy all kinds of cool tools and such, because I needed them for my job, and use it only once. No regrets. I will be at the flee market in the morning looking for stuff, like pelican cases. Pretty sure the stuff in the back of my truck is enough to disassemble and rebuild a car. I justify the big stuff for working on shredders.

These people send me a 4 inch thick catalog to the shop. Not trying to hijack the manual topic, but it's tools....

And Paul, you should think about advertising on this site...

If the old manual is fairly common and easy to obtain it would not hold any resale or antique value. In Pauls case it would be a normal archived listing with the manuals aged price set for its current common value.

I like where your idea is going though....

If you want a win/win for everyone. Maybe raise the prices by $5 and have a sale of $3 off manuals. You are get the increased prices you want and techs are saving $3. Seems to work for other retailers.

I don't think we want to see Paul poke his tits out................

However after some shallow thoughts, he is in Vegas and could probably find some nice'uns....
