In my experience most printer service is about swapping out cartridges/units. As the years have passed, more and more of copier service is about swapping out units. You may have to add to the depth of your print engine theory/knowledge to make the transition to copiers.

You'll have a head start on me, though, because you'll have some networking basics. I had no networking knowledge at all in the beginning.

The best thing you can do is take advantage of all the resources that you have available right here at Copytechnet. I'm sure you'll do just fine. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
