Help installing KM-3060 Fax Board M(2)

We have a KM-3060 and just bought the fax board M(2) but upon installing, it give us an error. Does the firmware need to be upgraded to accept the M(2) board? We have version 2H0_2F00.011.006 of the main, and the engine is 2H0_1000.010.004

if I need the new firmware, does anyone have it?

    thanks for the help...

Yes, absolutely! Whenever a new accessory is installed the firmware must be updated to accommodate it. Current firmware is version 2.47a dated 10-01-2010.

You'll have the best results by following the following suggestions:
    1) purchase a low speed CF card 256MB or less (the slower the better).
    2) format the CF card on the print card.
    3) download the firmware files to your PC.
    4) unpack the firmware to it's own folder.
    5) copy the unpacked firmware to the root of the CF card.
    6) power Off the copier.
    7) insert the CF card
    8) power On
    9) This one is important: Do not power Off or lose power until you see "Completed" on the display. When the firmware is done check that all files are "Completed" or "Unchanged". Note any "Failed" indications.
    10) Power Off. Remove CF card. Power On.

If firmware is not complete after 45 minutes you've got a bigger problem. Check back if the firmware does not finish or Fails on any files.

    I don't provide firmware. Sorry. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
