    New Posts button

Is it just me, or is there a problem with the New Posts button? I get a blank page. If I take a more roundabout route I can get to all the posts, it's just the most convenient way to view the new stuff.

    I'm running Win10 (64) and Firefox 60.0.2 (64). Edge does the same thing (error HTTP500). =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Dave, has this been since Aneurysm was logged in to get rid githenhi? I am having the same problem with the Newbie Checkin forum. I have already posted on the site feedback.

Yes, just today. It was working fine at 2130 EST when I logged off last night.

        Re: New Posts button

The New Posts button hasn't improved, but now I have 5273 new posts. I'm not sure how that happened. My guess is that Aneurysm has restored from a backup. =^..^=

Better take it easy on aneurysm if he is in fact the only admin. Wouldn't want him to run from this site and shutting down, like what happen with Mark & Andrea at Smarka. Personally it wouldn't be worth my time to put up with all the crap, spammers, political hacks with their copy and pasting - spewing their agenda, buttons not working, etc, etc....

It's not intended as a criticism. I think we all greatly appreciate what Aneurysm does for us. =^..^=

              here here.

I have to admit I was a lil miffed with some of the things.... but all in all Aneurysm, for being the only mod ( something I just learned ) is doing one HELL of a job.

I remember late '70s - mid '80s I ran one of the biggest BBS's ( bulletin board system ) in the eastern NC area... 5 nodes server ... it was a lot of fun at first ....

              Again CONGRATS to Aneurysm!

                Re. BBS comms:
No internet comms in those days. No analogue phone Modem comms (in our neck of the woods) then either.
The BBS data comms would have to had been packet radio, gov't/milt servers ?
Maybe a local daisy chain (cat100 cable with PL-259 jacks) network all connected...
Inauguration to the "AI cancel-culture" fraternity 1997...

I would say it took a lot of time and work to get rid of the direct crap from the latest spammer. Now he needs time too look over logs, etc to see what else he may have hacked or what malware or hooks into the system are still to be found. As far as I can see there a couple of short cuts we have gotten used to us but we are still able the get at posts from other members who are needing our help.
