    Suggestion for site

Wouldn't it be nice if we could organize the threads by model and type of error (ie. Jamming, error code, print quality, copy quality, etc.)?

I don't know much about sql... But it seems like it should be capable of it.

maybe IF more people CONTRIBUTED to CTN more things would be possible!

Ha-ha. Exactly Phil. Takes some real balls to come onto a forum and bash it without contributing,

FYI this site is run by one person. If more people would "contribute", than perhaps more time could be spent on stuff like you suggested.

I think more important would be an FTP section where "contributing" members could upload & download manuals & firmware to share.

This is clearly not a bash... It is suggestion as the title of the post states.

Additionally, I feel like it also takes a significant amount of balls to disparage someone for posting feedback (suggestions are a type of feedback) a forum labeled feedback

I'm not sure if it is a matter of BALLS or just newbies not liking having to SEARCH for particular issues. You know kinda like a 3 yrold "NO That's too hard!" they just want it THEIR WAY (hmm sounds like some lib users here Names withheld to protect the stupid)

THAT is one of the BEST suggestion for improvement I have heard.. hell I'd be glad to buy a TB drive (or two if server is RAID )for storage

But as stated CONTRIBUTIONS would be a GREAT YUUUGE start!

Also, feedback is a type of contribution...

So if you mean something else, you need to be more specific.

                these are not games...

this is how language works, if u are not specific, there is room for interpretation.

contributions can come in many forms...

i would be happy to donate, as i find this site useful...

                after work, tho

you have made 28 posts if memory serves me .. all ASKING for help... you have a REP POWER of 1. Therefore you haven't made that many posts that people liked/thanked you for. That IMHO isn't contributing.

we (copyman and myself) meant kick in 5-10$ to keep CTN up n running.

I kinda like the idea myself.

I think it could be organized as a series of descending check boxes during thread start:
                      MFP/Printer/Scanner:
                      Manufacturer:
                      Model Family:

I wouldn't mind working on a project like this.
                      =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
