    Website. Opinions please

I had a local company design a new website for me. I can't say that the experience has been exactly pleasant. I'm not sure how I feel about the website. I'm not an artistic person and damn sure ain't a graphic designer. I'm not even good at matching colors.

Anyway, the link is at the bottom. Give me your brutal honesty. What changes need to be made?

It sure is colorful! Are your buyers less than 10 years old? It reminds me of the annoyingly bold animations on Nickelodeon. Who knows? Maybe GenX & GenZ buyers like these excessively bold colors, but I don't. It sets a pretty high bar for Kyocera color ... not known for consistency or vivid colors.

The colored smoke affect in the background only demonstrated how slow my internet service is, by freezing for 10 seconds at a time. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The original homepage was bland and boring and I told her so. She went way overboard. I can't say that it's boring. I just can't seem to get on the same page with this girl. I'm supposed to meet with her today, and I'm gonna show her the feedback I get in this thread.

      Thanks for your input.

Agreed. But the shadows make the other graphics harder to see. I'm not satisfied. I'll be trying a few different things until we get it right. I appreciate your feedback.

That background video is not shot with a steady hand and makes me feel a bit dizzy after a while, and the photocopier images floating over the top looks a bit tacky. That's my 2 cents.

That's the kind of honesty that I'm looking for. But I would like to get your opinion on the website for one the biggest copier companies in the world. See below? What do you think?

The topics under Services are so simple, you have 3 choices leading to 1 page with only 3 tiny paragraphs!
                  Not good.

As for the colorful home page it's not that bad but my taste is doubtful as I like watching cartoons ☺️

It does say "The nation's largest independent provider of office technology with a local touch." on the homepage.

It's obviously a professional website, using smooth transitions that take into account users like me that suffer from motion sickness.

Agreed. Aggressive and jerky hand movements. The video can be more subtle. What I do like about it is the emphasis on color printing.

Agreed. That's gonna change as soon as I get with the company that's doing the website. I didn't realize that I would have to get this involved in the process. I guess that I was being naive.

I was curious because I didn't think it looked any better than the homepage of my website...save the motion sickness via the video.

I'm gonna keep working with the designer. We'll see. I'm tired of this procesas already. I hate it.

You gotta control it or they will leave you unsatisfied. We recently went through that and my boss asked everyone for their opinions. I guess you are doing same here but don't discount your own crew. They should know your business inside out so give them a chance. Of course the heavy lifting is up to you 🙂

I agree with TSBService. They are professionals at what they do, but you are in control. Allan and Skynet are like me. Smoother transitions in place of the video.
