Sent email appears as if it was forwarded?

Received email appears as if it was forwarded? Customer has to open twice to get to the actual attached file.

Is there something in setup I missed? We did point it to a ldap server which works fine. I feel like its something simple I'm missing. I searched here but only found one post with the same question with no reply.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are you referring to Email/Fax forwarding when an email/fax arrives to the MFD and then forward to a workstation ?

No, user scan to email. We set it up just like many others, I wonder if its setting on their mail server, its in a bank. We installed a Ricoh unit as well (demo) and have heard no complaint from that one yet. That one went in a different dept but used same settings except different ldap search string.

It should have the latest firm, our shop policy is to push latest firmware before they go out. BUT I did not check it on site. I'll add that to the list for when I go back after the holiday. I have mail server set up on my laptop so I can run test without their mail server.

If they are using outlook then it is an outlook issue. I had an IT guy look into it and told me he fixed it but did not tell me what it was.

Let it go, just know it was an Outlook issue.
Best guess is that the outlook sender email was also forwarding
