Ricoh Aficio MP C2500

Dear Sirs,

I try to setup Ricoh Aficio MP C2500 scan folder with Win10 64 pro.

Cannot find the specified path... (when I try to scan the shared folder).

SMD is active;

firewall checked;

ping did from the printer to host PC;

DHCP assigns IP;

network and sharing checked to allow ON;

NetBIOS over Tcpip - Enabled;

Protocol : SMB

Path : \\WORK-STATION\Scans

Please give your kind advice ?

which version of SMB are you trying to use?

SMB1 doesn't work on a Win10 system..

search the forums for SMB1 problems

That machine is no longer supported for security & firmware updates...End of Life. Best you can do is go into system settings, programs & features and turn on SMB V1, as Windows 10 defaults to V2/V3 for security purposes. Good Luck![emoji41][emoji1303]

Also there is the matter of what port the MP C2500 is set to...is it port 139 or 445? If I remember correctly on this vintage of machine there is no way to set it through the machine web page...you have to do it through TELNET into the machine!!![emoji15] If I remember correctly, Windows 10 defaults to 445 for SMB V1.

Also make sure your "Network Location" Is set to Private/Work and NOT Public!!! Make sure Windows 10 has all updates applied, especially security updates, as I've noticed Microsoft will shutdown certain functionalities until updates are applied and sometimes the PC needs to be restarted during/after updates. Additionally, if you run 3rd. Party security software such as AVG, Kaspersky, etc., make sure you have made a security exception for that specific folder you are scanning to!!!
