I knew that there's a time limit but I never thought about it in terms of the clock. Makes perfect sense.

rthonpm is the real deal. Post more. The more you post, the more I learn.

I won't bore with details. There's plenty of information on the net. Basically it involves 3 security keys - encrypted. Hence the name Kerberos - 3 headed dog. Kerberos is used on file servers and Active Directory to name a couple.

It's always nice to know what's going on under the hood.

Wrong. I have yet to see a technical video on YouTube that was of any help. Most are total crap.

True. Not only that, but it's much better to follow a regimented course or you'll be all over the place on YouTube. There is some good stuff on YouTube but I think it should be used to supplement a regimented study course. JMHO.

Mister YouTube engineer, believe or not some of us actually can fix something without watching videos.

I use Youtube all the time. I'd rather see someone else take it apart before I do it, and get tips and tricks on how to do it, vs me going in cold and trying to figure it out myself.

If you cannot reed and understand a service manual, you shouldn't be working on equipment.

Anyone who limits himself to one source of information is doing a disservice to his journey of learning. You should seek knowledge everywhere - Manuals, Youtube, CT.net, smoke signals, Morse Code. Hell, I've learned things from green techs.

The problem with a site like YouTube is there's no curation so good information is right next to bad. I've seen plenty of videos on Windows issues that will certainly fix a specific problem, but send up breaking low-level processes.

True. It's even worse for copiers because there's a lot less copier techs out there than computer or IT professionals. Good luck trying to find a copier solution on YouTube.
