    What browser do you use?

I have to buy a new laptop as mine has mostly crashed on me. I insist on owning my own work laptop as the company I work for has provided me with an old laptop that I set up in the showroom for demos (its an old win 7 with the free upgrade to win 10 that is severely under powered). I'm not going to complain as my laptop has served me well for over 5 years.

I have been primary using Firefox for the last bunch of years. I also have Chrome that I use sparingly. Edge came on the laptop, but I don't like it. So what bowers do you guys like and why?

    Thanks so much.

I have been using Firefox since its initial release by Mozilla in 2004. Before that I used its predecessor Netscape. Far more secure than any browser Microsoft or Apple have ever released.

I use Firefox at home and work. I deal with warranty for a manufacturer at work and have an account, however if I use Firefox to check if the machine is under warranty it wants me to login before I can do anything. With Chrome, I don't have an account, so Chrome's home page is this website and that's all it gets used for.
I did test my Search tool on Chrome and Edge.

Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) with uBlock Origin as an ad blocker with Edge as a secondary browser, also with uBlock Origin, for anything that doesn't play nicely with Firefox. No need for Chrome since Edge is built off the same codebase. Same browsers on my phone, except using mainstream Firefox. An added bonus, uBlock works just as well in the Android version as it does on the PC.

For my work machines I use the same two with both browsers managed through group policy. I also have the policies for Chrome installed as well for other staff that use it so that it's also managed.

Chrome is a good all rounder for me + AdGuard extension.

I mainly use Firefox, but there have always been problems with the Ricoh Remote Panel Operation. This only seems to work from Firefox version 127.0 onwards. Otherwise I use Edge from time to time because of the integrated MS Copilot. I rarely use Chrome. On the phone I use Safari and Firefox.

                I use two:

Chrome w/ Ad block and Malwarebytes extensions.
Microsoft edge. (I use many site with IE mode)

Look, Edge has come a long way. I'm genuinely impressed.
Also, I'm deeply rooted in the Microsoft ecosystem from Teams/ Outlook/ Onedrive/ Excel/ Word/ and Stream apps... it's just easier with everything synced in.

This is now trending question of Connectivity forum. Has nothing to do being here though.

It's relevant to the forum it was posted in, I blame the algorithm.

Yesterday I apologized to tsbservice for posting my question. Today I retract that apology and would like to point out the subtitle under the title Connectivity. It says " All things network and software related". Well gee, I would think the browser one uses IS software AND network related. I don't know about you, tsbservice, but the browser I use is the main tool I have to CONNECT to the different devices on a network. So I think my question here is relevant to the topic heading.

Insofar as this post trending on the Connectivity heading, I have no control over that but I am thankful for all the posts as I have learned two important things. One, Firefox will continue to be my go to browser, and two, I'm going to have to take a closer look at Edge when I have the time.

I wish to thank everyone for their posts and encourage anyone else to chime in if you wish.

IMHO it is trending because a good browser is one of the most important tools that a tech has.

Gee,... good browser is last to help me without my brain, my manuals, my skills, my tools and list goes on and on before I even had slight chance to think - Hey I need good browser
We have had many discussions before that on browsers, add removers but unfortunately they're buried without search function so I apologise to Samanator for my sceptical approach.

I'll bet you use your browser when there are new manuals that need to be downloaded/
