    Scanning from Copystar CS-C4035E to Mac OSX Leopard

    \\diehardprops\desktop\scans
    (to identify path: open scans folder, Action, Get Info: \\Users\diehardprops\desktop)
    skip authentication: No
    username: username
    password: password
    6. Disable the Mac Firewall:
    Open System Preferences. With that window open, go up to the top menu and select View > Security. In the Security Dialogue box that pops up, go to Firewall and select "Allow All Access".

    Can anybody help me fix the path? Or whatever else is wrong?

          The easiest way to SMB on a MAC is to connect your windows laptop and confirm the host/file path/ user and logon. Then copy and paste this info to your unit.

              Thanks tbs. I've seen those documents.

              konisolver: How will it help to know the Windows path? It is "scans" and that was one of the first attempts that failed. =^..^=

                  Ask the customer to see if they let you connect to their network to capture the path and confirm username / password.

                  Click on start --> Run --> type \\host name of mac\shared name ( if SMB is enable on the MAC you will get a pull down of all shared folders. Select the shared folder then you will get prompted for user name / password.) Now drop a file and delete a file to see if you have R/W permission. If all works now simply enter the information on your unit.

                      I lost you for a second. What sort of Mac has start --> Run --> ...?
                      But you're talking about my XP connected to their network! This makes perfect sense. I may not get to try this out right away, but thanks, and I'll give it a shot. =^..^=
