Shutting down FTP ports for KM5035 scanner nic

one of our customers (A bank) did a security audit and found that ftp for the NS30 nic card (scanner nic) for the KM 5035 was open. it did not require a user name or a password to get in. I can shut down all the other protocals except FTP. called up tech support and they claim that there is nothing they can do about it.

Has anyone seen this issue? I would even except a solution that will allow me to change the user name & password.

    Thanks

There has always been a security hole in scan to FTP, that's why it's so easy to set up. The newest version of the ScanFile Utility is supposed to solve this problem. I wonder if it will be backwards compatible? Don't know... =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

this does not have anything to do with the scan to ftp. this is logging into the ftp on the NIC for the scanner.
