    No A3 in Win7

Hi, is anyone aware of any settings in Win7 that stops a print driver from showing A3?
our tech has tried updating the driver but it still does not show A3.
all was well on thier XP setup

driver is for a Kyocera Taskalfa 250ci. latest version on NZ/AU website

We have never had this issue with any of our other customers with same driver/model/Win7

    any help welcome.

    cheers

Does this driver use SNMP to update its status? If it does you may have to enable SNMP under "Programs and Features" -> "Turn Windows features on or off" and/or enable SNMP Status under the driver port settings.

Thanks Ruben, I will look into that, and if I find the cause I will post any fix.

What version of the driver are you using? The newest that I'm aware of is v 5.3.1025a5, and it does not list Win8 as a compatible operating system. The only driver fully compatible with Win8 is version 6.0.2212. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Here's a link to the 6.0.2212 driver: The TASKalfa 305/255 can dramatically lower your TCO total cost of ownership...Kyocera's SMARTtech is affordable

I just installed it in Windows 7 32 bit, and A3 appears to be no problem:

Hi, thanks for replies. I have not been able to follow this up yet but I will post once sorted.
It appears the driver installs ok and has been tested on another PC, but the option for A3 is missing on this particular computer. odd?
I will need to talk to the tech for more info.

Computer set for inch/ North American and not metric/ everywhere else?

Just off the top of my head.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

Enter your print server properties and check your forms tab, Check if you have A3 among that list.

You may be on to something there.

This would explain why only one PC has the issue.

I saw this happen once a long time ago with a Windows NT workstation.
